These birdfeeders are each handcrafted to my own design. The Aromatic Red Cedar is cut to fit the particular
item being built, one piece at a time. No factory, no assembly line. After assembly these birdfeeders are then
finished using polyurethane varnish for a durable and beautiful glossy shine.

 Pole mount detail.FEEDER-A This is a special Aromatic Red Cedar birdfeeder. It is handcrafted to resemble the old covered bridges. It has a very large capacity for seeds, and is easy to refill via the lift off center section of the top. It has both a strong cord for hanging the feeder, and a fitting on the bottom to accomodate pole mounting (recommended). The entire construction is Aromatic Red Cedar, with Lexan for the seedbox, and the roof is covered with western cedar shingles. Joints are glued using waterproof glue and also held by brass screws. No steel nails or staples to rust and ruin the looks or even the integrity in years to come. Many hours go into making one of these birdfeeders, but with a little care it should last a lifetime. I select the wood used to make these with care so the finished feeder will show the many facets and interesting natural grain patterns of the red cedar.   FEEDER-B This Aromatic Red Cedar feeder is a hanging feeder - the entire roof lifts and slides up on the hanging cord for filling. Unfortunately, I took these pictures before I had installed the hanging cord. See the feeders below to see how the cord is attached. The wood in this small feeder is really outstanding in the way it looks. The finish is polyurathane varnish which is extremely durable and gives the wood a nice glossy shine. Dimensions; Height overall = 8" Width 4 ½" (not including the perch) Depth 4" Holds about a quart of seeds per filling. Construction is all Aromatic Red Cedar with Lexan windows for the seed box.
