These birdhousess are each handcrafted to my own design. The Aromatic Red Cedar is cut to fit the item
particular item being built, one piece at a time. No factory, no assembly line. These birdhousess are
finished using polyurethane varnish on the outside surfaces only, for a durable and beautiful glossy shine.
This assures the nesting birds will not have any paints or finishes inside the birdhouse, but the outside
can be protected for a long lasting and beautiful finish.
  HOUSE-A SORRY THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW. This is a special bird house. It is handcrafted to resemble the old covered bridges, with a divider inside and openings in each end so two families of birds can occupy it at the same time. This birdhouse matches the birdfeeder that can be seen on the home page. The entire construction is Aromatic Red Cedar, and it can be pole mounted or hung from a convenient tree limb. The roof is covered with western cedar shingles. Joints are glued using waterproof glue and also held by brass screws. Many hours go into making one of these birdhouses, but with a little care it should last a lifetime. There is a hinged panel on each end for easy cleaning. Dimensions are; Base; 8 ½ X 13" Overall height 14" Width 6" (note that the sides taper like the old covered bridge) Length 16" at roofline. The wood in this birdhouse is really outstanding in the way it looks. The finish is polyurathane varnish which is extremely durable and it is only applied to the outside surfaces.
